NEW STUFF
Welcome to Barnhill MRC, Hope those of you who have visited the site haven't been disappointed. The Gallery page has changed with more photos & another new page 'Guest book' has been added so you can append your comments. Don't forget the other new page listing exhibitions we are attending in 2008, It includes the venue, date & the layout we are attending with. There will be a further page coming soon containing helpful hints & tips, this will be called "Phil's Bits & Bobs". Also we now have some pictures of 'Chipbury' N gauge layout in the Gallery, the write up and more pictures will follow as soon as they are available.
At Barnhill we are a small group of Modelers who enjoy everything to do with the Hobby, so there are no hard and fast rules. We help one another on what ever project we decide to do at the time, this has given rise to three layouts currently available for exhibiting. Our club is housed in a members garage on the outskirts of Bristol. We don't have fixed meeting times however we do try to meet as often as possible to carry out work on what ever our latest project is. Members who can't attend that often due to work commitments or distance they have to travel are not left out and carry on with projects associated with the club at home (spouses permitting). We do get invited to quite a few exhibitions each year & travel far & wide, even venturing to Europe in 2007 & again in 2009. We do enjoy attending the exhibitions & meeting people, always ensuring we give our best on the day. And for our younger viewers and some older ones, we even give them a bit of hands on experience. We don't hold our own exhibition as unfortunately we are to small a club, but we are members of the Wales & west of England Model Railway Association that holds its annual exhibition every April/May in Thornbury for which we participate as members & Exhibitors. So feel free to browse are site & we hope it gives inspiration to all..
